Once you’re ready to start designing your own custom wedding invitations, reach out here to get started!

1. Use a unique font that reflects the tone of your wedding

I love a fancy script font, but that’s not the only option you have for your wedding invitations! First, I always encourage couples to consider the tone of your wedding when choosing the font for your invitations. If your wedding is formal, consider using a serif font. On the other hand, if your wedding is laid back, consider a less formal sans-serif font. Better yet, consider using a unique font that will make your invitations stand out and create a lasting impression. Your options are endless – trust me!

2. Incorporate your favorite colors into the design of the invitation

When it comes to wedding invitations, many couples opt to use their wedding colors for a consistent and cohesive look. That being said, it’s not required! In fact, you have the freedom to personalize your invitations by incorporating your favorite colors into them. Consider adding hues that align with your wedding theme or even colors that hold sentimental value to you and your partner. This thoughtful touch will add an extra layer of uniqueness and personalization to your wedding stationery, making it truly memorable for your guests.

3. Choose vintage stamps to personalize your invitations

Curated stamps bring a truly unique and personal touch, adding that extra charm to your wedding invitations. For a nostalgic feel that goes beyond just vintage stamps, why not blend together a handpicked collection of both standard and vintage stamps? This delightful combination guarantees a memorable and one-of-a-kind addition that will truly captivate your guests and leave a lasting impression.

4. Add a fun envelope liner

Fun envelope liners are one of my favorite ways to customize your wedding invitations. It gives your suite such a wow factor! Whether you want classic, modern, or something completely unique—I’m here to help you find the perfect envelope liner for your special day. Venue artwork or fur baby additions are another popular request I’m seeing lately (and I love it). Just let me know what look and feel you’re going for and I’ll get to work!

5. Add Wedding Invitation Embellishments like Wax Seals, Belly Bands, and Vellum Wraps

When it comes to adding extra details to your wedding invitations, the possibilities are endless. Consider adding beautiful wax seals, elegant belly bands, or delicate vellum wraps to infuse a touch of sophistication. These additional elements not only lend a luxurious feel but also provide a delightful tactile experience that will leave a lasting impression on your guests. As a wedding invitation designer, these invitation “add ons” are often some of my favorites to help my wedding couples choose!

6. Add a Special Monogram or Emblem to Make Them Unique

Adding a monogram or emblem to your invitations will not only enhance their uniqueness and charm but also give them a touch of personalization. Whether you choose to elegantly showcase your initials in a monogram or craft a bespoke emblem that perfectly aligns with the theme of your wedding, these artistic elements are sure to make your invitations truly stand out and leave a lasting impression on your guests. Don’t worry – I can help you with the design!

7. Hire a wedding calligrapher for guest addressing

As a wedding invitation designer, I always enjoy collaborating with talented calligraphers who excel in the art of envelope calligraphy. It is truly remarkable how hiring a skilled and professional calligrapher can instantly elevate the elegance and sophistication of your invitations. Their meticulous handiwork adds a touch of refinement, to every wedding invitation.

8. Consider wedding invitations add ons like handmade paper, letterpress or gold foil

Next, let’s talk about how texture plays a role in ways to customize your wedding invitations. When comes to creating memorable wedding invitations, there are a variety of techniques that can be used to add texture and elevate the overall aesthetic. One popular option is handmade textured paper, which adds a tactile element to your invitations. Another technique is letterpress printing, a traditional method that uses ink and impresses it onto the paper, creating a beautiful and timeless effect. Letterpress is one of my favorites! And gold foil offers a simple way to add a shiny, metallic element to your invitation suite. By incorporating these unique printing methods, you can ensure that your wedding invitations not only capture attention but also leave a lasting impression on your guests.
