A Soft-Blue Dream at Meshewa House: An Elegant Garden Wedding

Meshewa House set the tone for Camille and Philip’s wedding. A refined, romantic affair surrounded by rolling green hills, serene woodlands, and classic Georgian architecture. The estate offered a setting that felt both grand and intimate, making it the perfect backdrop for their elegant celebration. From the moment guests received their soft blue and white invitation suites to the last dance beneath the twinkle-lit tented sky, every detail was curated to reflect timeless sophistication, meaningful touches, and a sense of welcoming charm.

The Charm of Meshewa House

Meshewa House isn’t just a beautiful venue, it’s a place with presence. Its peaceful grounds, historic details, and elegant architecture make it a dream for couples who want a wedding that feels timeless but never stuffy. Camille and Philip fell in love with the estate’s natural beauty and used it to guide every design decision.

The surrounding landscape inspired the soft color palette, while the Georgian architecture informed the classic typographic choices throughout the stationery. From there, each piece of stationery was created with intention, designed to feel naturally at home within the setting of Meshewa House.

Stationery that Sets the Tone

Designing Camille and Philip’s wedding invitation suite was such a joy. Every detail was intentional, and I loved bringing their vision to life. From the start, we wanted to create something that felt timeless and personal, and that first impression really mattered.

We landed on a soft blue ink that struck just the right balance between fresh and classic. Printed on thick white cotton paper, the whole suite had this beautiful weight and texture that just felt special in your hands. One of my favorite parts was the custom illustration of Meshewa House, it gave guests a little preview of the venue’s charm before they even arrived.

Next, to add a soft, floral note, inside the envelopes, we included a watercolor liner featuring blue hydrangeas, the same blooms that would show up on the wedding day. It was a subtle detail, but it tied everything together in such a lovely way.

From there, I made sure every element of the suite was designed with care. The RSVP cards were clean and easy to navigate, and the mix of soft script with a classic serif gave everything a sense of warmth and elegance. Their custom monogram appeared throughout, weaving a personal touch into each piece.

Ultimately, I really wanted the suite to reflect Camille and Philip’s style: a blend of Southern charm and timeless sophistication. From the moment guests opened that envelope, the tone for the celebration was set.

Day-of Details That Brought It All Together

Of course, Camille and Philip wanted their guests to feel welcomed and wowed, and the day-of stationery played a massive role in that experience.

We carried the soft blue and white palette from the invitations into every printed element. In doing so, we intentionally created a cohesive, visual thread that felt effortlessly elegant.

  • The ceremony programs featured classic serif fonts and floral touches, printed on textured cardstock and hand-tied with silk ribbon. As they caught the breeze while guests settled in, they added such a romantic, intimate touch.

  • The seating chart was displayed on a display beside the tent, accented with fresh blooms and greenery. Each board had guest names and table numbers in soft blue ink. Truly a simple but beautiful welcome into the reception.

  • Dinner menus were tucked into each place setting, perfectly paired with gold flatware and crisp napkins. Each guest’s spot was marked with a custom place card, layered with soft blue, delicate florals, and finished with a wax seal stamped with their monogram. We carried over design elements from the invitation suite to keep everything feeling cohesive and considered. These personal, tactile details gave guests something special to interact with—and definitely photograph.

  • Throughout the venue, signage pulled everything together. A clear acrylic signature drinks sign with a hand-painted floral backer brought in the garden feel, and coordinating signage for the bar, guestbook, and welcome moments helped the whole space feel intentional and complete.

Designing for a Dream Day at Meshewa House

Working with Camille and Philip on their Meshewa House wedding was such a joy from start to finish. They had a clear vision from the very beginning: a day that felt warm, elegant, and entirely true to who they are. Every detail was chosen with care, not because it was trendy, but because it meant something to them. That kind of intention is rare, and it made the design process feel really special.

As the stationer, I had the honor of weaving their story into each paper detail. These pieces weren’t just visual accents, they were meaningful moments built into the fabric of the day. While I don’t get to be there in person, I always love seeing how everything comes to life through the photographer’s lens. It’s such a joy to see my work displayed in its full context—surrounded by love, beauty, and celebration.
